John “Goofy” Smith
John “Goofy” Smith is a retired Marine Master Sergeant. He is a Christian, husband, father, and veteran. He served for 20 years and deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. He started The Unsung Veteran because he felt called to give veterans a place to tell their stories honestly, in their own words.
